A member of the Volunteer Services Department will be in contact with you via email in the next 72 hours to arrange an interview.

🛑IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR ORIENTATION SHIFT 🛑 PLEASE READ COMPLETELY BEFORE PROCEEDING You MUST complete the online training modules and finish the required phone or in-person interview PRIOR to attending the first shift training session. The online training modules can be accessed when you choose your first shift training date from the calendar below. Please Note: If the online training is not completed, you will not be able to participate in the orientation session until it is finished. The first training shift serves as an in-person orientation at the ReStore location as selected on your registration application. 🟢Burlington – 1800 Appleby Line #10, Burlington, ON L7L 6A1 🟢Milton – 775 Main St E, Milton, ON L9T 3Z3 🟢Mississauga – 4500 Dixie Rd, Mississauga, ON L4W 1A4 🟢Orangeville – 202 First St #1, Orangeville, ON L9W 3K1 You will be paired up with a staff member or Mentor volunteer to learn more the ReStore. It lasts up to 2 hours and includes an introduction to our health and safety program, scheduling your hours, operations procedures and more. Supported Volunteer Program At Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga-Dufferin (HMD), we are committed to building a welcoming, inclusive community for all. Our Supported Volunteer Program is designed to provide meaningful opportunities for individuals who require additional support to volunteer — including those with physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities, or those connected to community organizations such as Community Living or the Bob Rumball Centre. This program is intended for individuals who are unable to volunteer independently and will be accompanied by a certified caregiver, support worker during their shift. Important: Both the volunteer and their support person must register individually and sign up for the same volunteer shift. For the health and safety of the volunteer, the support person must remain with them at all times while volunteering.
