Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga-Dufferin
Supported Volunteer Program At Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga-Dufferin (HMD), we are committed to building a welcoming, inclusive community for all. Our Supported Volunteer Program is designed to provide meaningful opportunities for individuals who require additional support to volunteer — including those with physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities, or those connected to community organizations such as Community Living or the Bob Rumball Centre. This program is intended for individuals who are unable to volunteer independently and will be accompanied by a certified caregiver, support worker during their shift. Important: Both the volunteer and their support person must register individually and sign up for the same volunteer shift. For the health and safety of the volunteer, the support person must remain with them at all times while volunteering.
